ACTION Registry-GWTG Premier stands as the most comprehensive choice for monitoring data in ACS - looking at all the AMI Performance measures, and all test measures, including dosing errors and lipid metrics. It is the highest level of participation for performance improvement and recognition with the ACTION Registry-GWTG.

ACTION Registry-GWTG Limited includes data on the AMI performance measures, selected quality measures, and risk-standardized outcomes but is a 50% reduction in the amount of data collected in ACTION Registry-GWTG Premier. The ACTION Registry-GWTG Limited was designed to fit the needs of hospitals that want to participate in data collection but have limited resources and are unable to participate in the Premier program.

Background Information

The ACTION Registry® - GWTG™ will include patients who are diagnosed with STEMI and NSTEMI at participating hospitals. It will provide a streamlined, consolidated method of collecting, monitoring and reporting clinically relevant cardiovascular data within a framework that ensures both hospital and patient confidentiality. This will enable participants to better focus on ACC/AHA guideline-recommended care and to develop new ways for the registry to advance improvements in care and examine newer clinical questions.

Data Definition Development Process The process for developing the ACTION Registry® - GWTG™ core data set followed an established methodology for creating clinical data standards and included:

Ranking of ACTION Registry® - GWTG™ data elements/definitions,
Gaining consensus on final ACTION Registry® - GWTG™ data elements and definitions, and
Conducting public review and comment.
