What is the ACTION Registry® - GWTG™? A national, voluntary data registry that provides institutions and physicians the ability to understand, measure clinically-relevant indicators, and improve quality in the treatment of patients with myocardial infarction and to promote quality improvement nationally. This Registry offers a potent research tool that allows for focused analysis of clinical treatment details and efficacy of procedures and other interventions. Data collected through the ACTION Registry® - GWTG™ will be analyzed to assess determinants of practice guideline implementation, to provide aid for medical decision making, and to assess the appropriateness of medical care provided for patients who have STEMI and NSTEMI.
