ACTION Registry®–GWTG™ Software Vendors
|
NCDR® provides registry database specifications to software vendors who are
interested in developing an ACTION Registry–GWTG software package. NCDR reviews
each software application to verify it meets the strict data collection
standards and export requirements as defined by NCDR, and certifies only those
software vendors that meet its rigorous quality standards. These contracted,
certified vendors are the exclusive providers of software that allows
institutions to participate in ACTION Registry–GWTG.
When an ACTION Registry–GWTG participant purchases software from a certified
vendor, the vendor installs it for the participant. The participating facility
then uses that software to submit its data to the NCDR on a quarterly basis.
For this reason, each participant should consider their own software
requirements when reviewing the vendor information.
However, participants of ACTION Registry-GWTG may instead choose free access to
the NCDR Web-based data collection tool for this registry. Use of this tool,
and any updated version, does not involve using a software vendor, and will
help hospitals collect the most essential data for internal reporting.
Applications for ACTION Registry–GWTG vendor certification:
If you are interested in becoming a certified software vendor for ACTION
Registry–GWTG, please contact
ncdr@acc.org or call 1-800-257-4737.
As an aid to our participants, the NCDR has provided a brief description of each
vendor in the chart below, as well as a summary of their product information.
This information, listed in alphabetical order, has been supplied by the
software vendor and has NOT been verified.

PRODUCTS::
- OutcomesCX
OutcomesCX is ARMUS’ new, web based patient centric Clinical Information Management System with built-in flexibility to provide timely responses to the rapidly changing clinical information demands. The new platform handles and follows changes in clinical data content as it relates to participation in the ACC (all four registries), STS (cardiac and thoracic surgeries), and Vascular Registries, as well as other registries and reporting structures yet to be determined.
Some advantages of OutcomesCX:
• Supports the rapid development of any clinical data registries that may require multi dimensional database structures
• Allows for different provider groups to simultaneously specify their data requirements, refine their information needs, and become educated and trained on the technology platform at the same time
• Simplifies data entry with the easy-to-navigate patient centric design
- OUTCOMES 3
ARMUS’ Outcomes3, accessible over the Internet any time, from anywhere, a procedure centric clinical registry is the result of the past eight years of consistent research and development. The data entry mechanism is based on rules and definitions that are always accessible in real-time, eliminating many predictable and not so obvious errors by using the rules created for any or all fields.
Ad-hoc, visual query designer, data table and statistical analysis are part of the standard application. No SQL or statistical knowledge nor any reporting tools are required in order to use Outcomes3. In addition, users can easily export data out at any time for any reasons without any restrictions.
