NCDR^® provides registry database specifications to software vendors who are interested in developing an ACTION Registry–GWTG software package. These contracted, certified vendors are the exclusive providers of software that allows institutions to participate in ACTION Registry–GWTG.

However, participants of ACTION Registry-GWTG may instead choose free access to the NCDR Web-based data collection tool for this registry. Use of this tool, and any updated version, does not involve using a software vendor, and will help hospitals collect the most essential data for internal reporting.
